My Weekend Away

Hello!

As I write this, I am away for the weekend so I will write each night and upload the whole blog at the end (if my phone will let me, there is no network!)

Friday
So I am currently on camp with some friends for the weekend. We arrived around 8pm and found out who we were in tents with. We then ate dinner and played some wide games. After that we had a talk and walked on the beach. Where we were approached by a bunch of drunk people, which was quite funny. After we got away from them, we came back to our tents which is where I am now at around half midnight. I am so annoyed my mum wouldn’t let me bring my camera! It is so beautifull and there have been so many photo oppurtunities.

Saturday
So, after I came off my phone there was an enourmous thunder storm which we were actually in the middle of. That went on for an hour or 2. Result- I got 3 hours sleep. Yay. So, after that we woke up and had breakfast. After that we had a talk. We then played some team games, and discovered I am useless at volleyball. We then had lunch and played rounders. It was far to hot but we then decided to walk down (or up) the coast to a boating lake. We had lots of fun there. Since it was still very hot, we then had ice cream then walked back to camp. Which led us to dinner time. When we finished dinner, we built a campfire on the beach and had a talk. We then lit the bonfire and pretty much had a second dinner. After that we went to our tents.

Sunday
I woke up pretty early so I started packing. We then ate breakfast and had a talk. We were supposed to do water games but it was raining so we played team games inside. After that we did some climbing and had lunch. We had another talk and we finally did water games. We have a giant piece of tarpulin which we use as a slide and we spent ages sliding around on it- my knees, elbows and head are really hurting me now. At one stage we played human bowling and I went head first into someone. Fun! We then had alot of cleaning up to do and we are now on the way back home.

I have had a great weekend away and it’s been really good to spend a weekend without wifi etc, the internet can be a horrible place sometimes. I hope that whatever you have done this weekend you have had a brilliant time.

Newmarket

Hello Best Friends!

Today, I went to a place known as Newmarket. It’s famous for it’s race track (for horses) and for it’s many stud farms (again, for horses).

We went to the National Horse Racing Museum (totally worth a visit, even if you don’t like horses- my dad doesn’t like horses and even he liked it).

It was really interesting and they even have a racehorse simulator which you can have a go on. By chance, we ran into a pair of trainee-jockeys and it was really interesting to talk to them. When they went on the simulator they made it look so easy!

Unfortunately while we were out, my friend took her sheep off our field because we promised someone else the hay. Which basically means that I won’t see her for a while 😭😭.

I know I haven’t posted for a while again. I’m going to do one, maybe two posts a week (if it’s been interesting). This is mostly because I’m often short on time and to be honest, my blog is pretty repetitive. So that should stop it. And make it less depressing because it will mean theres less space to be negative.
